Our Graphic & Digital Design program will provide you with a broad range of specialisations, such as print and collateral, brand, packaging, or digital design. Whatever design direction you take, you can create and produce technically refined designs against objectives and outcomes outlined within the briefing procedure. Engaging with design studio environments, both simulated and actual, will further enhance your professional creativity and extend your skills.

The program will provide you with detailed technical knowledge of leading-edge digital tools allowing you to realise your designs. The Academy’s Graphic & Digital Design program will also advance your visual literacy and cultivate your design aesthetic, leading to dynamic and rewarding career outcomes such as Art Director, Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Multimedia Designer or Storyboard Artist.

As an Academy graduate with a major in Graphic & Digital Design you are poised to enter an exciting industry with job possibilities such as Graphic Designer, Web Designer, Multimedia Designer Animator, Packaging Designer, Typographer or Motion Graphic Designer.

To be considered for admission, applicants are generally required to have successfully completed their VCE or equivalent. Mature-aged applicants who have attained sufficient industry experience will also be considered. If you are a domestic student aged under 18 you can enrol at the Academy but you will need your parent or guardian's consent. Unfortunately we are unable to enrol international students under the age of 18.

Bachelor of Design Arts

The Bachelor of Design Arts is completed over 3 years or part-time equivalent. The course consists of five credit-bearing units of study per semester. 15-17 hours per week. 16 week semesters.

Face-to-face.

During Orientation the Academy will provide you with a detailed list of the required materials for the program.

80% project work (including practical work, essays, presentations and group assignments) and 20% test.
